- Our sites are designed to accommodate older versions of browser software since not everyone updates routinely.
- We design for multibrowser support.
- Our sites are designed, if possible, to load in 30 to 60 seconds on a 28.8k modem. People lose interest in sites that load too slowly.
- We believe in using animation sparingly and properly. Animation is a nice touch and a great way to draw somebody's attention to something you want to feature, however, nothing is as annoying and distracting than a collection of flashing images all over the screen.
- We design for multiple resolutions. You may be able to fit more features on a page at a higher resolution, but you'll end up losing those visitors that have to scroll around the screen to find information.
- We firmly believe in using the right tools for the job. At Hansen Web Design we have a complete array of software and utilities to make sure your site is designed properly and efficiently.
- Consistency: A well designed site should utilize the same color scheme and fonts throughout. An inconsistent site implies poor organization.
- Spelling and grammar: Nothing can hurt your online presence quicker than poor syntax and spelling!
