John and Susan,
I am very glad to see you taking the necessary steps that are needed to make this truck into your dream machine. Knowing both of you and your drive also means that I know that the build will be successful and "way cool!"

Hi George,

I cannot tell you that I am 100% certain, but I do believe the best way would be to remove the throttle shaft. It's not as bad as it looks. The carb actually disassembles fairly easily :-)

Hi John,
Interesting turn of events for you on Cornelia !!
Ya gotta do what ya gotta do John. Any way you can get her running is the best way, whatever works for you. You have my support and best wishes for the project. And who knows, maybe I will be able to score some parts from you on the mechanical side, whilst I am restoring my truck.??? Let me know what you will have, before you put them on Ebay if possible.
Thanks,
Glen

thank you so much for putting up a pic of the YF with the stamped ID number. i've been wondering where to find this number as the tag is long lost on my 74 CJ5. other web sites detailed in words where to look - not good enough. a good picture goes a long way sometimes :-)

will check out this site more, i used to have an IH Scout II.

Ah...just for the record, the teeth were not quite BLACK to start with. "I told her I could blacken them again easily..." He WAS using my toothbrush for this project though.

Great idea to get Cornelia running and see what really needs attention. I have a 1950 chevy small bus. I need to keep the brake master cylinder full as they seem to loose fluid. You need to get it running and then start it up every couple months to keep it from expiring.

Hi John,
Great job on your site. One of these days, I hope to have a site dedicated to my trucks. Yours is an inspiration. :-)

In the mean time, I've added a link to your site from my Scout blog. Keep it coming; one of these days I'll be starting in on my '53 and your site will be great reference.

p.s. I also understand that you helped Jim out with the OldIHC site - that one is looking great too. Thanks for that.

Hi John,
Bought a 53 R-122 and had it hauled to Ohio from N. Dakota. Good luck on the resto and keep in touch. i am a few months ahead of you but I also got a solid truck. Am still looking for some odds and ends but also have some good sources and friends with a machine shop. Still looking for the bushings for the clutch and brake pedal shaft. Will machine them if no luck. keep up the work bringing this old Binder back to life.

I was browsing through "OLD IHC" website to check my messages and to see what was new. Fortunately I saw your website address there and came here to check it out. I'm glad I did, this is a great site. The detail and information you have put into this is fantastic. The wiring diagram I know will be well used by lots of us. The pictures are great.

I own a 1954 R110 with a four speed. The odometer reads 534829 miles. For years people look at an say.."Only 54 thousand miles, that's great." I tell them "Look again", sometimes it takes a few looks before they see it, or before you tell them there is no 1/10th's on the odometer. Boy are they surprised to see it has 534000+ miles on it. Anyway, I think I spun a bearing on the crank one day and parked it over 20 years ago. Will be getting back to work in it soon I hope, so I am looking forward to following your progress on your R100. Is there a place here to register a a member or anything like that, and can we post our pictures here as well? Looking forward to hearing from you. Oh, bye the way I did see a couple of spelling mistakes, but won't bother you now.....Barry
